Teaching is the dream job. I love my role in my student’s lives of teaching and learning with them. But I know it is not easy. It is so important to remember humans first and teachers second. Learn with me as I share ways to help you enjoy teaching more.

Being a Japanese Sensei and a Mother of Two: A Joyful Journey
As a Japanese Sensei, sharing the beauty of the language and culture with eager learners has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. Guiding students through the intricate details of the language, from kanji characters to the nuances of formal and informal speech, has not only deepened their understanding but also enriched my own connection to my heritage.
Furthermore, being a mother of two alongside my role as a Sensei has added an extra layer of joy to my life. Balancing the demands of teaching and nurturing my children has taught me the value of patience, empathy, and adaptability. Juggling lesson planning with bedtime stories and field trips with cultural events has broadened my perspective and brought an unparalleled richness to my professional and personal life.
In the midst of grading papers and preparing meals, I’ve found that the two roles beautifully complement each other, allowing me to appreciate the small, precious moments that make life truly remarkable.
I hope you enjoy my story and find time to enjoy your journey as a Japanese teacher.
Jackie
